What do we collect?
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. When logining in we collect the same data to help prevent hacking of accounts.
We collect information provided through authentik during account creation process, email, name, and username. This is used to sync profiles across all the platforms.
We collect streaming data to better help adjust our hardware to allow for smooth streaming of our movies and monitor parent controls for accounts that require them.
Media
We have no access to any files that are uploaded to immich and nextcloud. Only thing we can see is how much of your storage you are using.
Who we share your data with
No one! We believe in privacy and everything stays on our servers. Our Admins do not have access to any of your data
How long we retain your data
If you fail to help contribute to the maintenance fees. And you haven’t reached out. Your account will be removed after 90 days after the failures to pay. Keep in mind we will reach out multiple times to inform you before we move forward in the full removal of accounts.
How secure is it?
We are doing everything we can to keep data of all users secure. Keep in mind we are using these same services and we don’t want to lose our data.
Keep in mind that nothing is perfect and we would strongly recommend utilize the 3-2-1 backup system to keep data from being lost. The 3-2-1 backup system is a data protection strategy that recommends having three total copies of your data, stored on two different types of media, with one copy kept off-site.
We are only one step in backup chain to keeping your data forever. All of our service are currently running off of one server. In future we hope to have off-site backups and redundant servers. This is what most of the fees will go towards.
